Career Highlights: Originally left the NFL in 2000 when he completed his 13th season as a versatile performer for the Carolina Panthers, functioning as both tight end and deep snapper...Called back to the NFL in December 2003 by the New England Patriots as a long snapper...Five games later he snapped for Adam Vinatieri’s game-winning field goal with nine seconds left for the World Championship in Super Bowl XXXVIII...Earlier in 2003 he helped coach the LSU Tigers to a National Championship...Also logged time with the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns...Originally a 12th round draft choice (320th overall) by the Miami Dolphins...During his career he had 160 catches for 1648 yards, and finished third in the NFL among tight ends in 1996 with 55 grabs...Two-time All-SEC and Honorable Mention All-American at LSU...Named by Golf Digest as the best golfer in all of professional sports in 2000...Won the local qualifier for the US Open in his first attempt in 2000…Currently teaching at Parkview Baptist School and involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in Baton Rouge, La...
